Universidade Técnica do Atlântico

A public university established by Decree-Law No. 53/2019 of 5 December 2019, with its headquarters on the island of São Vicente (Ribeira de Julião campus, in Mindelo). It focuses on science and technology, the blue economy and natural resource management.

It comprises four units, including ISECMAR, the Institute of Marine Engineering and Sciences, which forms its core; it offers courses in nautical sciences, mechanical engineering and civil engineering, and runs a Master’s programme in climate change and marine sciences.
