The aim of this official day was to pay tribute to civilian and military seafarers, to highlight careers in the maritime sector, and to emphasise the central role of the sea in the country’s sovereignty, economy and future.
Deep Blue, representing young people committed to ocean conservation, was invited to this ceremony and had the honour of speaking with several leading figures from the maritime world:
– Admiral Nicolas Vaujour, Chief of Staff of the French Navy,
– Éric Banel, Director-General for Maritime Affairs, Fisheries and Aquaculture,
– and Ms Agnès Pannier-Runacher, Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, to whDeep Blue extends her warmest thanks for the invitation.
Through his presence, Deep Blue wished to pay tribute to the dedication of those who, every day, uphold the maritime values, team spirit and solidarity that underpin humanity’s great adventures at sea.
The sea is more than just a geographical space: it is a shared horizon. Deep Blue will continue to promote this belief amongst younger generations, both within institutional circles and across the regions.
